Terms of Use for Normi

  1. Basic information about the terms of use and definitions

    These terms ("Terms") govern the use of Normi ("Service"), provided by Auge Technologies AS, org.no. 931 848 291 ("Provider").


    The goal of these terms is to create a good balance between open, free use of the service and use that could be potentially harmful. We continue to develop the terms as we uncover other unexpected risks.


    By creating an account, accepting these terms, or using the Service, you confirm that:

    • You have read, understood, and accepted the Terms
    • You are at least 18 years old
    • If you are entering into the agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm that you have the authority to do so

    The Service can be used by both individuals and businesses. For individuals, the provisions of the Consumer Purchase Act apply in addition to these terms.

  2. Description of the service

    Normi is a service that combines skills taxonomies and artificial intelligence to help users find their skills and businesses define their needs, and then facilitate matching between them.


    The Service includes:

    • Mapping of skills from text descriptions
    • Access to the ESCO classification (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations)
    • Matching algorithms for analysis between profiles and roles/positions
    • Competency reports and analyses

    The Provider reserves the right to:

    • Further develop and change functionality
    • Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice
    • Update the Service to improve security and performance

    We strive for the Service to have high quality, but cannot guarantee that it always works perfectly.

  3. Third-party providers

    3.1 AI services

    Normi uses AI models provided by third-party providers to analyze and match skills. This is done via APIs. These providers process data according to their own terms, and they guarantee that:

    • No user data is used to train their AI models
    • No user data is stored with the AI providers

    3.2 Limitations on AI use

    To ensure sustainable operation of the free service for individuals, the following limitations apply:

    • AI functionality should only be used for purposes related to skill mapping and matching
    • General use of AI for other purposes must be limited
    • In case of high usage, access may be limited or temporarily stopped, or the website may switch to cheaper models for a period of time

    3.3 Terms of use for third-party providers

    Normi uses OpenAI (AI) and Uploadthing (image upload and storage). For these, the following applies:

    Use of AI or uploading of images that may violate these third-party providers' terms of use is not permitted.

  4. ESCO classification

    The Service uses the ESCO classification from the EU Commission (https://esco.ec.europa.eu/) for standardized categorization of skills and occupations.

  5. Usage rights and limitations

    5.1 License

    • Individuals receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal purposes
    • Businesses receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to use the Service for their employees according to paid subscription

    5.2 Limitations

    It is not permitted to:

    • Allow anyone other than registered users to access the Service (especially applies to business accounts)
    • Use the Service for illegal purposes
    • Attempt to hack, decompile or reverse-engineer the Service
    • Use the Service to develop competing products
    • Resell access without written agreement
    • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
    • Overload the Service with unnecessary requests
  6. User responsibility and obligations

    The user (both individuals and businesses) is responsible for:

    • Ensuring all users comply with the Terms
    • Keeping login information confidential
    • All data and content uploaded to the Service
    • Ensuring usage complies with applicable laws and regulations
    • Reporting unauthorized access immediately

    For business customers, the following additionally applies:

    • Responsibility for ensuring employees and other authorized users comply with the terms
  7. Privacy and data processing

    Processing of personal data is regulated by the Provider's privacy policy, which is available at https://www.normi.no/en/privacy-policy.

  8. Intellectual property rights

    8.1 Provider's rights

    The Provider retains all rights to the Service, including software, design, logos, and documentation.


    8.2 User's rights

    The user retains all rights to their own data and content, including skill profiles.


    8.3 Feedback

    The Provider may freely use feedback and improvement suggestions from users.

  9. Support and availability

    9.1 Support

    • Support is offered via email at contact@normi.no
    • Feedback can also be given via feedback forms in the platform
    • We strive to respond as quickly as possible

    9.2 Availability

    The Provider shall strive for high uptime and stable operation, except for scheduled maintenance that is announced in advance when possible.

  10. Confidentiality

    The parties commit to treating confidential information from the other party confidentially and not disclosing such information to third parties without consent.

  11. User termination

    11.1 Duration

    The terms are accepted from user creation until the user deletes their account, or the Provider terminates the relationship.


    11.2 Termination

    • Individuals can terminate and delete their account at any time by contacting contact@normi.no
    • Upon termination, the user can request data export via contact@normi.no within 30 days. If the user is already confirmed deleted, this cannot be performed.

    11.3 Termination for breach

    In case of material breach, the relationship can be terminated with immediate effect.

  12. Changes to the terms

    The Provider can change the Terms with a minimum of 14 days' notice to individuals and 30 days' notice to business customers. Notice is given via email and/or message in the Service. Continued use after notice is considered acceptance of the changes.
